LaGrange Police are on the lookout for two men they said robbed another man at gunpoint and stole his truck late Monday night outside the Super 8 Motel at 29 Patillo Road.

Police said it happened right around 10:30 p.m.

The victim told investigators he got into his truck with the two unidentified males who said they would help him find a laundromat.

Instead, one of the males pulled out a gun as the victim drove away from the hotel and made him drive the men around, the victim stated to police.

The driver said he was then made to pull over and get out of his truck, while the two suspects drove off in his vehicle, also taking his cell phone and some cash.

The victim said he drove a 2005 Dodge Ram. He described the men as black, with slim builds and around 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call LaGrange police Sgt. William Nelson at 706-883-2614 or Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706- 812-1000.

Woman pepper sprayed in grocery store

A woman accused of trying to start an altercation inside the Piggly Wiggly at 511 South Greenwood Street on Monday morning around 10 a.m. did not have a pleasant shopping experience — after she was pepper sprayed and arrested by police.

According to another female in the store, the woman began following her and making harassing comments towards her. The female said every time she stopped, the woman made threats of bodily harm.

She told police she became fearful something bad was going to happen, so she pepper sprayed the woman.

According to the female, the woman is angry at her over a recent court proceeding.

The woman told police she was simply trying to ask the female a question about comments she made towards her son.

The woman was treated at the scene by LaGrange Fire.

Officers watched in store surveillance video and decided to arrest the woman. She was cited for disorderly conduct.
