In the first wreck, reported to 911 at 10:45 a.m., a 2012 Kia Rio slammed into the rear of a northbound dump truck on Hamilton Road at Interstate 85, according to the truck driver and LaGrange police at the scene. An occupant of the Rio was transported to a hospital for undetermined injuries sustained in the wreck, according to LaGrange police and 911 information.

The Georgia State Patrol was investigating the incident, which occurred just outside the LaGrange city limit, and a complete report was unavailable this morning. The name and condition of the injured occupant was unavailable.

In another wreck reported at 11:01 a.m., a Manchester woman headed westbound on Upper Big Springs Road overturned her SUV, striking a fence near Callaway Church and John Lovelace roads.

The driver, who identified herself to the Daily News as Taylor Maddox, said she was going Christmas shopping when the vehicle began to skid on the wet road and she attempted to pull it back toward the road. The SUV spun and went off the road, flipping and landing on its side on the wooden fence.
