LAGRANGE – They picked up right where they left off.

After beginning the season with five straight wins, the Lafayette Christian School Cougars took more than three weeks off before returning to the court on Tuesday to face visiting Ballard Christian.

It was no contest.

The Cougars were up by 22 points after the first period, and they cruised to a 60-15 victory to improve to 6-0.

Marcus Mobley had 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals to pace the Cougars, and Jemi Reed had 10 points, seven rebounds, five steals and six assists.

Senior Clay Kelley also had a productive game for the Cougars with four points and 10 rebounds.

LAGRANGE ACADEMY: The Warriors returned from their holiday break and lost to Heritage 53-44 on the road on Tuesday.

Lincoln Anderson paced the Warriors with 15 points, and head coach Britt Gaylor said Nick Keating “played excellent defensively.”

Gaylor added that “we didn’t shoot well from the field, but saw a lot of good things that we can build on.”

The Warriors will return to region play on Friday with a game at Brandon Hall.
