LaGRANGE — Two men are now recovering at home Tuesday morning after being shot during a private party at a home in the 100 block of Edgewood Avenue.

LaGrange Police Lt. Dale Strickland, head of the Criminal Investigation Section, said the two men were released from the hospital Monday.

A third victim was reported to be in stable condition at a Columbus hospital, Strickland stated. That man was also set to be released from the medical center Monday evening and speak with detectives with the LaGrange Police Department, he added.

All three males were discovered by officers at the Edgewood Avenue address shortly after midnight Monday, according to a police report.

Strickland said the men’s injuries weren’t life-threatening, but two were flown to hospitals in Atlanta and Columbus for treatment.

The gunfire continued an hour later, a police report stated.

A woman called police about 1 a.m. after she heard bullets hit her home in the 100 block of Belk Street.

Strickland said an hour after that incident, two women reported someone shot at their cars and apartment in the 200 block of Heritage Road.

No one was hurt in either incident.

Strickland stated investigators believe all three crime scenes will be linked. He said it seemed the same weapon was used in each shooting.

Detectives also believe the shooting started after some sort of altercation, but detectives are still looking into a motive, he added.

No one has been arrested as of this morning.

Detectives will continue speaking with eyewitnesses on today, Strickland said.
