LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department are looking into the death of a 2-month-old infant found not breathing at a home in the 900 block of Truitt Avenue on Monday.

Officers were called to the house just after 8 a.m. by the tenant and provided medical care for the baby girl until paramedics and EMTs arrived on scene, according to police.

Investigators said the infant was taken to West Georgia Medical Center where she later died.

According to LaGrange police officials, her body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab for an autopsy.
