Events: Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

The Chambers County (Ala.) Fraternal Order of Police Lodge No. 20 hosts its annual Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. at Rocky Point Beach in Lanett, Ala., on West Point Lake. More than 3,000 eggs and 100 prizes. Four groups for ages 0–3, 4–6, 7–9 and 10–12.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Churches: Trinity SDA Church Prayer and Bible Study Center at 710 Jenkins St. holds a free Bible study from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Pastor Walter Gordon, 706-812-0760

Louise United Methodist Church, 1189 Hines Road, hosts Evening of Praise at 6 p.m. Selections, solos, duets and praise dances will be performed.

Celebrate Recovery, a faith-based recovery program, meets at 3 p.m. at Hogansville First Baptist Church.

Churches: Mount Beulah Baptist Church will host Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. Minister Robert “Toby” Young will be guest speaker.

Leete Hill United Methodist Church, 810 Hamilton Road, observes Resurrection Sunday with its annual Easter Service at 11 a.m. Pastor James Woods will deliver the message. An Easter egg hunt follows.

Callaway Baptist Church hosts discipleship training, youth and children’s classes at 5 p.m.

Uplifting Your Faith Ministries, 104 Youngs Mill Road, hosts spiritual counseling/healing at 5 p.m. with Bishop R.L. Darden.


Events: LaGrange College continues its 2016 3D Journeys series with “Exploring the World of Cuban Music,” lecture by Dr. Oliver Green. Beginning at 10 a.m., all 3D Journey lectures will be in the Dickson Assembly Room of Turner Hall. Attendees should park in the lots adjacent to the pedestrian bridge on Vernon Road, and a shuttle will take them to the door. A Dutch-treat lunch will be available in the Pitts Dining Hall following each session.

A beginner scrapbook class is offered at the Active Life Center on Ragland Street at 1 p.m. There is no cost for the class. A registration form and supply list can be picked up at the center.



LaGrange Art Museum’s First LaGrange Southeast Regional juried exhibition is underway and will be on display through April 2. The show features work by only Southeastern artists. LaGrange Art Museum is located at 112 Lafayette Parkway and is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reach the museum at 706-882-3267.

Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Lifting More Voices: Early Troup County Black History through Sept. 16.
