LaGRANGE — It’s not an April Fools’ Day joke.

Single tickets for Willie Nelson’s May 29 performance in the inaugural summer concert season at Sweetland Amphitheatre are on sale now, but buyers better act fast, said Becca Eiland, the venue’s director.

A limited number of reserved seats went on sale today at 10 a.m. — not only for Nelson, but for every other concert in the summer series, with the exception of a September show.

Reserved seats for the Nelson concert range from $50 to $60 and can be purchased at www.sweetland.events. Lawn seats are $35. Terrace box and VIP tables are also available and range from $500 to $725.

A Sept. 24 show announced today will feature the band NEEDTOBREATHE from Charleston, South Carolina. Tickets for that concert will go on sale April 15 at 10 a.m. Prices have not been announced.

Before the official grand opening with Nelson, the amphitheatre is slated to host a preview concert April 16, billed as “Four Decades of Music.” Tickets range from $15 lawn seats to $35 for premium reserved seats; terrace boxes and VIP tables are $325 and $500, respectively.

The Temptations with Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics are set to take the Sweetland stage June 17, with tickets for lawn seats starting at $22 and reserved seats ranging from $35 to $45. Terrace box and VIP tables are also available.

On July 3, The Charlie Daniels Band is schedule to perform with lawn seats starting at $22 and reserved seats ranging from $34 to $45. Again, terrace box and VIP tables are available.

In addition to the summer concert series, tickets are also on sale for the May 14 event Bow Ties and Pearls: An Evening of Jazz, sponsored by the LaGrange Alumnae Chapter of Delta Theta Sorority. The event is for adults 18 and over and is a picnic-approved event — meaning coolers, outside food and beverage and TV trays will be permitted. All seating will be general admission on a first-come, first-serve basis. Food trucks and vendors will also be on site. Tickets are $20 before, or $25 the day of.
