LaGRANGE — A local musician will find a sense of purpose with the release of his album this weekend.
Daniel Toole will celebrate the release of “Pulse and Purpose” with a CD release party Saturday, April 9, at Pure Life Studios. Toole collaborated with Neobolical Records/Studios, a local studio, to birth the album.
“I cannot wait to give back to the people who have been so very good to me,” Toole said. “I’m astonished at the outpouring of love and support that I’ve received from the community and music scene.”
Toole, originally from Millen, draws inspiration from varied genres of music. He cites musicians from rock bands Guns N’ Roses and Counting Crows to Motown singer/songwriter Marvin Gaye among his influences.
Toole said he would delve into songs as a reprieve from pieces of his life and learned to use the power of music to escape the reality of certain times, influencing him to be the songwriter he is today.
“He has a giving heart and an extraordinaire ability to listen and make time for everyone,” said Maggie McDonald, owner/operator of Pure Life Studios. “His writing shows you that he has been listening, experiencing and absorbing life around him.”
The concert is set for Saturday at Pure Life Studios, an acoustic listening room at 206 Clark St. in LaGrange. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a meet and greet. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted. Outside food and drink are welcome.
