Events: God’s Breadbasket, a food pantry serving Hogansville residents, is open 9 a.m.–noon.

The Active Life senior center at 140 Ragland St. offers oil painting classes at noon for all adults 55 and older. 706-883-1681

Moonlight Ballroom Dance Club of LaGrange hosts a beginner samba lesson at 7 p.m. and dance at 8 p.m. at Lafayette Christian School Gym, 1904 Hamilton Road in LaGrange. Visitor couples are welcome at $20 per couple. Attire is smart casual. 706-881-2734

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings at noon and 6 p.m.

Events: Jefferson Street Market featuring local wares and produce is 9:30 a.m. to noon at 625 Jefferson St.

A mystery dinner/theater which will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 1416 Vernon St., at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the LaGrange Miracle League, which will build a special baseball field for handicapped children. Tickets are $25 per person for the catered spaghetti dinner and “Kidnapped: A Chocolate Whodunit.” Tickets are $10 for carry-out only. Either must be purchased in advance by calling 706-882-0130.

Meetings: Self Help Harbor, 909 Stonewall St., hosts AA meetings 10:30 a.m. for women, 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

National Alliance on Mental Illness support group meeting is canceled for April.

Churches: Louise United Methodist Church, 1189 Hines Road in LaGrange, hosts its 135th church anniversary at 2 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. James Woods of Leete Hill United Methodist Church.

Faith Believers Ministries, 210 Handley St., hosts its 10th pastoral celebration at 2:30 p.m. Special guests are pastor Lonnie Walls and Smyrna Baptist Church.

Central Baptist Church hosts its homecoming at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Stafford Dudley of Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Newnan as guest.

Callaway Baptist Church hosts discipleship training, youth and children’s classes at 5 p.m.

Uplifting Your Faith Ministries, 104 Youngs Mill Road, hosts spiritual counseling/healing at 5 p.m. with Bishop R.L. Darden.

Legacy Museum on Main, 136 Main St. in LaGrange, hosts the exhibit Lifting More Voices: Early Troup County Black History through Sept. 16.
