Police investigating infant death
LaGRANGE — Investigators with the LaGrange Police Department said the body of a 3-month-old baby found deceased inside a home in the 200 block of Butler Street Friday morning will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab.
According to LaGrange Police, officers were summoned out to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center about 6:45 a.m. by medical personnel in reference to the infant.
Investigators said they were told the 3-month-old passed away at the home and was brought to the hospital.
The cause of death was unknown Friday, stated LPD officials.
The case is under investigation pending the outcome of the autopsy by the GBI.
