HOGANSVILLE — Preliminary work is expected to begin this week on repair of some storm-damaged roads by the state Department of Transportation, city officials said.

City Manager James Woods said officials were expected to do some work to smooth part of Bass Cross Road until the road can be fully repaired.

City officials are also soon expected to meet with FEMA officials to sign work orders to start road repairs and replacements on roads, Woods said.

Most streets will be considered small projects, he told council members. Church Street, which was washed out in the December flooding, is the only replacement that will be considered a big project.
