Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Theta Nu Lambda Chapter, hosts its annual Teen Pregnancy Workshop 5 p.m. at the Alpha Multipurpose Center in Cannon Street school, 115 E. Cannon St. Speakers include Zsa Zsa Heard, executive director of LaGrange Housing Authority, and Chris Brown of Columbus with concurrent workshops about pregnancy, college life, gangs and bullying, and underage drinking.
New Community Church hosts Career Connect, a free job search assistance and networking event, at 5:30 p.m. with representatives from local staffing agencies, colleges, businesses and industries. Admission is free. Career coaches from the Department of Labor Career Center, Troup County Works, LaGrange College and West Georgia Technical College will be available.
