The Daily News is placing a moratorium on letters to the editor endorsing local candidates or otherwise speaking about specific local political candidates beginning May 6. No such letters will be accepted after that date. The Daily News also reserves the right to refuse any letters making accusations that cannot be verified or considered unmerited mud-slinging.
