Vanishing Troup: Three railroad depots
LaGRANGE — Nutwood is a home built in 1833 by famed architect Cullen Rogers. It is surrounded by 200-year-old pecan trees on Upper Big Springs Road and was accepted to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
It is one of Troup County’s few remaining gems from its earliest years. Currently it is being used as an event center.
