Local woman arrested for Alabama murder

LaGRANGE — A woman is behind bars in the Chambers County Jail accused of robbing and murdering an Alabama man.
Tre’Shaniq Burley, 22, of LaGrange, was taken into custody on Thursday at her Georgia home by deputies with the Chambers County (Alabama) Sheriff’s Office and LaGrange Police officers, officials said.
Burley was wanted in connection with the shooting death of David Heard, 49, of Roanoke, Ala., stated Sgt. Shannon Rollins, chief investigator with the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
Heard was shot multiple times inside his home in the 3300 block of U.S. Highway 431 in Roanoke on Sept. 5 and died from his injuries, Rollins said.
Burley is charged with capital murder, first degree robbery and first degree burglary, stated CCSO officials.
Three other people, including a LaGrange man, have also been arrested in this case.
Cordamione Decornez Cameron, 22, of LaGrange, was taken into custody at his home on Smoot Street on Sept. 14.
He was also charged with capital murder, first degree robbery and first degree burglary.
Cortney Simms, 26, of Roanoke, Ala., and Ashley Spidell Murphy, 24, of Wedowee, Ala., were arrested on Thursday.
They were both charged with one count of murder and one count of first degree conspiracy to commit a robbery, law enforcement officials said.
The case remains under investigation.
