A LaGrange police officer tried to arrest a wanted man, but the suspect attempted to get away from him about 11:10 a.m. at the intersection of New Franklin Road and Franklin Street on Tuesday.

The officer was able to quickly capture the man, identified as Danny Keith Lynch, and put him handcuffs, a report stated.

The officer patted Lynch down and discovered a glass smoking device with what appeared to be methamphetamine residue, according to the report.
