Thomas Cecil Williams, age 85 of 113 Alton Drive died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home under the care of West Georgia Hospice. Mr. Williams, a native of Proctor, Arkansas was the son of the late Edrick and Florence Morrison Williams. He received his education and completed High School at Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee. He served his Country as an Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was an active member of Lake Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Proctor, Ark. He united in marriage to Mrs. Pearline Smith Williams on November 14, 1953 with over 63 years of marriage. Mr. Williams held employment at American Can Company in Chicago, Illinois for over 40 years. Survivors include in addition to his wife,two daughters, Delores Jean Tinker of Lagrange, Georgia and Mrs. Regina Kathy Davidson (Robert) of Columbia, South Carolina; three brothers, Edrick Williams, Jr. of West Memphis, Tenn. and Leon Williams (Emma) and Nathaniel Williams (Sherrie) both of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Freeman (Phillester) of Proctor, Ark. and Mrs. Dorothy Fullilove of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by one brother, James Williams and three sisters, Evelyn J. Williams, Maudine Williams and Dora Adams. Funeral services for Thomas Cecil Williams will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at True Worship Baptist Church. Rev. Willie Hutchinson will officiate with burial at Meadoway Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at his home.
