Larry Strickland, Sr.

Larry Strickland, Sr. passed away Saturday.
He was born April 30, 1956 in Franklin, Georgia to the late, Mr. Oscar Strickland and Ms. Eleanor Zachary.
He joined State Line Baptist Church at an early age. Larry graduated from McKinley High School in 1975. His life was filled with love and laughter. Larry loved and cherished his family. He was loved by his family and friends, who refer to him as “Blow”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Strickland, Jr.
Survivors include one son, Stenson Strickland; two daughters, Lisa Strickland and Roslyn (Claude) Brown; daughter-in-law, Alisha Strickland; step-mother, Liz Strickland; four sisters, Diane (Cint) Grier, Theresa Zachary, Sheila Zachary, and Gail (Jimmy) King; four brothers, Dwight Strickland, Eric Davis, Andy (Jane) Zachary, and Jarvis (Rene) Zachary; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; five aunts, one uncle, a special cousin and best friend, Carolyn Singh; and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at Stateline Baptist Church. Rev. Andre McDonald and Rev. Stafford Dudley will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of his daughter, Lisa Strickland at 65 Essie Walker Road, Newnan.
