LAGRANGE – It’s going to be a quiet weekend on the basketball court.

With the threat of a winter storm, the local basketball teams have all made the decision to postpone or cancel this weekend’s games.

Games involving Callaway, LaGrange, Troup and LaGrange Academy have all been called off.

Here’s a look at how each of the schools have been impacted by the weather:

CALLAWAY: Callaway’s teams were supposed to play road games against Lamar County today and Greenville on Saturday.

All of the games will be made up.

Callaway will visit Greenville on Jan. 14, and it will make up the games with Lamar County on Jan. 19.

Callaway’s teams return to the court on Tuesday for Region 5-AA games at Jordan.

Both teams are 0-1 in the region after close losses to Heard County this week.

LAGRANGE: LaGrange’s teams were supposed to play Cedartown on Friday, but they ended up playing on Thursday instead.

LaGrange’s games at Cartersville scheduled for Saturday have been postponed.

TROUP: Troup’s teams were supposed to be at home today on Saturday, but all of the games have been postponed.

Troup was supposed to play Region 5-AAAA foe Sandy Creek today, and those games will be made up.

Saturday’s scheduled games against East Coweta on Saturday will not be made up since they’re not region games.

LAGRANGE ACADEMY: LaGrange Academy was scheduled to travel to Newnan to play Bethlehem Christian today, and those games were postponed.

The makeup date is Jan. 14, and the girls’ game will start at 1 p.m. with the boys’ game to follow.
