Mrs. Catherine “Kathy” Darlene Dancy Young, age 55, of LaGrange, passed away on January 4, 2017 at the WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.  Mrs. Young was born on June 1, 1961 in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Donnie Dancy and Joyce Starnes Dancy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth “Darlette” Burgess.  Survivors include her children, Donnie Dancy of LaGrange, Eric Young (Jenny Ussery) of Pine Mountain, Debbie Villatoro (Carlos) of LaGrange and Lindsey Young of LaGrange; brothers, Chris Dancy of LaGrange, Jeffrey Dancy (Tannys) of LaGrange and Eddie Dancy of LaGrange; sister, Brenda Thompson; half sister, Katherine Dancy; 10 grandchildren; extended family and friends.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Meadoway Gardens.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00-2:45.  On line condolences may be sent to the family at http://www.higginsfuneralhomes.com./   Higgins LaGrange Chapel, 706-884-7117.
