Mrs. Evelyn K. Gunter, 83, of LaGrange, GA passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Hospice LaGrange.

 

Mrs. Gunter was born February 21, 1933 in Gastonia, NC, to the late Frank and Artie Kincaid. She was a member of Ayres Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miley D. Gunter, Sr.; sisters, Nancy Kincaid, Brenda Kincaid, Ruby Kincaid, Barbara Brookshire  and Ann Franks; brothers, Wallace Kincaid, Joe Kincaid and Zane Kincaid.

 

Survivors include two sons, Dudley Gunter and Greg (DeeAnn) Gunter; two daughters, Deana Redd and Amanda (Jerry) Arrington; grandchildren, Ruth Gunter, Nicholas Gunter, Dain (Hanna) Gunter, Dylan (Nicole) Gunter, Dalton (Savannah) Gunter, Ashlan (Josh) Scott, Casey Redd, Abby (David) Fitchett, Brice Keith, Tyler Arrington, and Coleman Arrington; great grandchildren, Amelia Gunter, Kylee Owens, Heidi Kate Gunter, Kynslee Crowe, Claire Gilbert, and Evelyn Fitchett; brothers, Bruce (Martha) Kincaid and Bill (Bert) Kincaid; nephew, Ray (Pat) McDaniel; other relatives and friends.

 

Funeral Services will be 2:30pm Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with Reverend Wayne Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ayres Memorial United Methodist Church or Hospice LaGrange in memory of Evelyn Gunter.
