Stella (Szymanski) Federation

June 14, 1918 – January 6, 2017

We are confident and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord! 2 Corinthians:5:8.

Stella passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017. She was a long-time resident of Rochester, NY and in 2011 moved to Pine Mountain, GA to live with her daughter Lorraine Berry. She is predeceased by her husband Peter, her grandson Terrence Federation, her grandson Jason Berry and several brothers and sisters. She leaves to cherish her memories , her daughter Lorraine Berry (Richard), Pine Mountain, GA; her son Gary Federation (Carole) Rochester, NY; grandson Ryan Berry (Melanie Hawkins Berry), grandson Tim Federation (Christine), granddaughters Tammy Drexler (Rob), and Tracy Menendez (Rigo); great grandchildren, Ashley and James Berry, Alexander Federation, Lindsay Van Auker (Matthew), Kevin Federation, Deanna Drexler, Bobby Drexler, Amanda Menendez, Matthew Menendez. She also leaves behind her beloved canine companions Bella, Sammy, Allie, and Cassie.

Stella loved to garden, cook, and was an excellent seamstress. But above all, her passion was her family.

She was a member of the Chipley Women’s Club, Pine Mountain, the Harris County Senior Center, Polish Falcons of America, and was an Honorary Member of the Humane Society of Harris County.

A service dedicated in her memory will be held at the First  United Methodist Church of Pine Mountain, GA on Sunday, January 22, 2017, 11:00 AM.
