The LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society is planning an event for the love of dogs in February.

 

“Fourteen dimes for Love” will be held at the shelter at 1390 Orchard Hill Road on Feb. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is 14 dimes, but the monetary amount may come in any form.

 

For the donation, participants will be given a treat to give to each dog at the shelter. In return, Valentines from each dog will be outside their kennels to be taken home.

 

The Valentines will be in heart-shaped boxes.

 

“This really isn’t a fundraiser it’s more community outreach,” said Linda Couto, executive director of the LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society. “We want people to know we’re part of the community.”
