Mable Turner

Mable Turner, 73, of 115 Cedar St. passed away on Wednesday at Emory University Hospital.

 

Mable Turner the daughter of the late Walter and Bertha Turner was born in West Point.

 

She was a graduate of Ethel Kight class of 1964 and attended Columbus Technical College.

 

Mable was a devoted member of Union Springs Baptist Church and served as Treasurer, Usher and Hospitality.

 

She was an active member of Zeta Amicae of Columbus, and Auxiliary of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

 

Survivors include: her sister Maerine Riggins of Roxbury, MA. two brothers; Clifford(Ann) Turner of Romulus, MI and Frank (Pearl) Turner of Dorchester, MA.,  six nieces and nephews she raised as her own.

 

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by three brothers and two

sisters.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Union Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfonzia Simpson, Jr. officiating.

 

The interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends at her home at 115 Cedar St.
