The LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce needs you to take a survey.

The chamber has kicked off a six-month strategic planning process looking at everything from available workforce to marketing opportunities for the city. More than 100 people have already been interviewed in focus groups, but the developers want to hear from more people.

“The ‘Troup Works’ Strategic Plan will commence by gathering information from a diverse group of Troup County stakeholders,” said Page Estes, chamber president. “The project team will conduct interviews and focus groups with employers, educators, workforce and economic development organizations, residents and other stakeholders from across the region.  An online survey of business needs will be prepared to gauge today’s highest demand occupations and skill sets.”

The online survey is available at www.troupworks.net.

Avalanche Consulting, a national economic and workforce development consultancy based in Austin, Texas, is facilitating the planning process and interviewing stakeholders. Avalanche’s team has provided strategic planning services to more than 200 communities across the United States and abroad.

The “Troup Works” Strategic Plan is a partnership between the Chamber, Development Authority of LaGrange, West Point Development Authority, Troup County Development Authority and the Troup County Center for Strategic Planning.
