Valley, Alabama – Mrs. Ann Young, beloved wife of Johnny L. Young and loving mother of John William (Leslie) and Patrick Wayne Young went home to be with our lord on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Survivors also include her grandchildren Christina Ann and John William Young II, as well as Spencer Smith and great grandchild Aiden Patrick.

Ann was one of seven children in her close knit family born in the Appalachian foothills to a hard working coal miner father descended from Irish immigrants. She had a zest for life and a certain spunk that endeared her to everyone she knew.

She was preceded in death by brothers William and Francis, and sister Connie. Sibling survivors include sisters Mary and Patricia, along with her brother James.

There will be a celebration of her life and memorial Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 705 North 3^rd Avenue, Lanett, Alabama on Saturday, February 11 at 10:30am. Friends and Family are welcome.
