Annie Ruth Cooper, age 83 of 910 Colquitt Street died Tuesday, February 28, 207 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Cooper, a native of Talbot county was the daughter of the late Rev. Willie and Carrie Gamble. She attended West End High School in Hogansville, Georgia. She was a devoted and faithful member of Wards Chapel CME Church where she held several offices. She held employment at Shorewood Packing Company where she retired. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Willie G. Cooper: her children, Diane Bonner and Chadrick Cooper and fourteen grandchildren. Annie Cooper was proceded in death in addition to her parents by her two daughters, Barbara Cooper and Susan Cooper, her son Jeffery Cooper and her brother, Sammy Gamble. Graveside Services for Mrs. Annie Ruth Cooper will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Rev. Thurmond Brown will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wards Chapel CME Church in memory of Annie Ruth Cooper. The family will receive friends at her home.
