Mr. Walter Edward Dance, Jr., 75, Of LaGrange passed away Friday March 3, 2017 at Poplar Creek Assisted Living in LaGrange.

Mr. Dance was born August 22, 1941 in LaGrange, GA, son of the late Walter Edward Dance, Sr. and Suval Meadors Dance. He was retired from the Vocational Rehabilitation Department of Georgia, and a member of The First United Methodist Church. Mr. Dance was an avid golfer and loved his Georgia Bulldogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kay Dance and his wife Mary Dance.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia (Chuck) Hauck, son; Walter Edward Dance III; a sister, Debra (Art) Perkins; grandchildren, Shelby and Connor; great grandchildren; Sutton; nephew, Dustin (Jordyn) Murphy.

The family will be at the home of Mr. Dance, 214 East Lane Circle, and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

Flowers will be accepted and or memorials in his name to the Alzheimers Association or Troup County Humane Society.
