KimberlyDenise Hurston passed away Wednesday.

“Kim” was born November 30, 1969 to JoAnn Hurston and the late, Bobby Lee McLaughlin.

She attended LaGrange High School. At an early age, she joined Valley Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Kim was employed by SOS Cleaners for twenty-seven years.

Survivors include her children, Fabian (Tiana) Hurston, Shalencia Hurston, and Jessica Hurston; grandchildren, mother, JoAnn Hurston; sisters, Stacy Laye, Chandra(Antonio) Thames; brothers, Kelvin Hurston, Terrance (Laura) Hurston, Derek Johnson, and Demetrius Huzzie; aunts, Mary L. Huzzie, Bertha M. Brewer, Gloria McLaughlin, and Mary Shephard; uncles, Jerry McLauglin and Jimmie T. Hursotn, Jr; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; special friend and employer, Mark Hinson; special friends, Sabrina Jackson, Sylvia Stephens, and Tootie Beasley.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday at 2:00 PM at New Community Church. Rev. C. W. Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.
