Elnora Rush Hawkins passed away Tuesday.

She was born in Starville, Mississippi to the late, Will Rush and Hannah Kincade Rush.

Elnora was a graduate of Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elemnentary Education; and furthered her education at Atlanta University, Georgia and Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.

She became a member of Warren Temple U. M. Church were she served faithfully in many capacities.

Mrs. Hawkins retired from LaGrange City School System after thirty-two years.

Survivors include her son, Ellsworth and daughter-in-law, Patti; two grandsons, Malcolm Ellsworth and William Alexander, all of Lithonia, GA; cousin, Mrs. Clara D. Wade, Starkville, MS; Paulette McNair, Lawton, OK; family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Warren Temple United Methodist Church. Pastor Vinson Dominique will officiate. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 519 Colquitt Street and will receive friends in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson on Sunday from 4-5.
