LAGRANGE – It’s one game for the title.

LaGrange High’s boys’ soccer team took care of business on Friday night with a 3-1 victory over Chapel Hill at Callaway Stadium.

The Grangers improved to 5-0 in Region 5-AAAA, and they’ll play for the region championship on Tuesday against Cartersville at Callaway Stadium.

Cartersville will bring a 4-0 region record into the game.

LaGrange was in control the entire way against Chapel Hill.

Harrison Hunnicutt had a big night with three goals for the hat trick.

Chapel Hill scored a goal late after the outcome had been decided.

“I think we weren’t bad,” LaGrange coach Keita Placide said. “The biggest thing is finishing off chances. We finished. All in all, I’ll take it.”

LaGrange will look to keep it going against Cartersville.

“To me, it’s just making sure we give it our all Tuesday,” Placide said. “I think we are the team that can give Cartersville the best game right now.”

If LaGrange wins, it would have home-field advantage for at least the first two rounds of the state playoffs.

“I think this is what you work for,” Placide said. “That’s what I keep telling the kids. This is for home-field advantage in the playoffs. That’s what you’re hoping for.”
