LAGRANGE – The LaGrange Grangers will continue their road trip today.
LaGrange, which played two games in Florida on Tuesday, will be in Powder Springs today to take on Hillgrove before finishing the week with a game at Loganville on Saturday.
The Hillgrove game was supposed to be on Thursday, but it was postponed a day because of wet field conditions.
LaGrange has played an extremely challenging schedule this season, and today’s game continues that trend.
Hillgrove is 14-7, and it leads Region 3-AAAAAAA with a 9-1 record.
After playing Loganville (11-8) on Saturday, LaGrange will return to its Region 5-AAAA schedule on Tuesday with a critical road game against Troup.
The Grangers (15-8), who had their six-game winning streak end with Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to Pace (Fla.) in extra innings, are leading the region with a 6-1 record, but Troup (6-2) and Cartersville (5-2) are close behind.
LaGrange has region games against Troup, Central-Carroll and Cartersville next week.
LaGrange finishes its region schedule against Sandy Creek and Chapel Hill.
