Mr. Andrew Garrett of 7179 Paprika Lane in Columbus passed away Wednesday at his home.

Mr. Garrett, a native of Franklin, Heard Co., was born March 22, 1946 and was the son of the late Sarah Jones Shank and J. T. Shank.   He was retired from the United States Army after reaching the rank of Master Sergeant.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, three loving daughters: Annette Williams (Bryan), North Augusta, SC; Becky Tudor (Randy), Evans, GA; Andretta Thomas, Augusta, GA; three stepchildren: Randy Tudor III, Brittany Tudor, Augusta, GA; Amanda Tudor, Pensacola, FL; one devoted brother: George Shank (Vinnie), LaGrange; one sister, Jimmie Stegall, Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, brother-in-law; three step-grandchildren, eight step-great-grandchildren; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Clydale Robinson Garrett; aunts, and uncles.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Solomon Grove Baptist Church on Fulton Street.   Rev. J. R. Ware will officiate.   Burial will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will be at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, George and Vinnie Shank at 202 Kings Park Lane.
