Some third graders from elementary schools around Troup County were special guests at the Sheriff’s office on Thursday.
The students were hand selected by their teachers to become “Sheriff’s For the Day.”
The event wraps up the Troup County Sheriff’s Office annual Junior Deputy program.
Students chatted with Sheriff James Woodruff, met Deputy Matt Mayfield and his K9 partner Jack, toured part of the jail and courthouse, had a front row seat inside the county’s 911 center and were treated to a special lunch, among other activities.
