Gwenita LaVette Ware

Gwenita LaVette Ware passed away Thursday at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center.

She was born February 7, 1965 to the late, Carrie Ware Darden and Clarence McDowell, Jr.

She recently joined Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Travis Leonard. She was a very talented musician who played for First Zion World of Faith, Springfield Baptist Church, and Welcome Baptist Church, all in LaGrange, Georgia.

Gwenita attended and graduated with Honors from Avondale High School, Decatur, Georgia. She attended Southern Polytechnical in Marietta, Georgia. She was employed with Life of Georgia in Marietta, Georgia. After moving to LaGrange, she was employed at American Home Shield until her health began declining.

Survivors include er god-daughters, Jalissa Shackleford and Alysiah Gore; and god-brother, G. Winston Fanning; special relatives, Marcus Darden and Aunt, Elaine Kellem; special friends, Pastor Gloria Burks whom supported and helped care for her during her failing health; her uncles, Reverend J. R. Ware, LaGrange, GA; John (Pauline) Ware, Atlanta, GA; aunts, Dovie Philpot, Franklin, GA; Fannie (W. C.) Crump, Atlanta, GA; special cousins, Pamela Morgan and Ami Redwine; extended family, the Dardens and many cousins.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Highway 34, Franklin.
