Felix L. Snider

Mr. Felix L. Snider, 72, of LaGrange, GA passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Snider is survived by his wife, Pat Snider; his four children, Missy (Calvin) Alvarez of Anchorage, AK, Rick Snyder of Valley, AL, Steven (Paula) Snider of Dothan, AL; and Phillip (Jennifer) Snider of Dothan, AL; his two step children, David (Christy) Thrush of LaFayette, AL and Brandy (Tony) Ledford of LaGrange, GA; his sister, Martha Hall of Greenville, SC; his brother, Perry (Nancy) Snider of Valley, AL; his nine grandchildren and seven step grandchildren.
Mr. Snider was born on January 10, 1945, in Langdale, AL to the late Emma Ophelia Phillips Snider and Bennie Owen Snider. In his youth he was an excellent softball and baseball player and was an avid golfer. He was a veteran, serving for seven years with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Kimberly-Clark Company and was a member of the Halawakee Hawgs Motorcycle Group. He last attended Ridge Road Baptist Church in Lee County, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at 3 p.m. (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. The Rev. Harvey Miller and the Rev. Brad Holley will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Ridge Road Baptist Church, 5465 Lee Road #390, Opelika, AL, 36804, in his memory.
