Mr. Grover Thomas “Tom” Pound,  71, of LaGrange passed away Thursday afternoon at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.  Mr. Pound was born February 27, 1946 in LaGrange the son of the late William Grover & Lillian Beck Pound. He was a member of the First Baptist Church on the Square and a 1964 graduate of LaGrange High School, Piedmont College and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam era. He also enjoyed being a member of LaGrange Kiwanis Club

He was involved in City Government most of his life and loved traveling and spending time with his family.

Funeral Services for Mr. Tom Pound will be held at 3 p.m. Monday from the First Baptist Church on the Square with the Reverend Cade Farris & Rev. Paul Blair & Dr. Paul R. Baxter officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Church on Monday from 2 until 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
