Troup County softball team competes at state

BAINBRIDGE – The Troup County all-stars participated in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association state softball tournament this week, and they finished with a 1-2 record.

Troup County finished tied for seventh in the 12-team tournament.

After opening with a loss to Ware County, Troup County stayed alive in the double-elimination tournament with an 8-3 win over Moultrie.

Troup County’s tournament stay ended with a loss to Swainsboro.

TEAM MEMBERS: Zoe Thompson, Madison Kemp, Madison Cavender, Emma Rhoney, Emily White, Emily Reese, Karaline Bunn, Hope Delaney, Ale’yah Dunn, Harlee Overton and Lynleigh Bohn. The head coach is Scott Thompson, and the assistant coaches are Scott White and Jason Bunn.
