- LaGrange Kiwanians were delighted to have Sue Landa and her puppy-in-training, Karl III, present a program about Canine Companions for Independence. As a volunteer puppy raiser, Landa received her first puppy, Susan, in 1999 and has since continued on an 18 year journey raising service dogs for people with disabilities. She has had Karl III since September 2016, and he will be with her until May 2018, learning many verbal commands, directions. He will also continue the socializing process. Pictured with Landa and Karl is Steve Cavender, President, LaGrange Kiwanis. The LaGrange Kiwanis Club meets at the Highland Country Club every Thursday at noon. The goal of the Kiwanis Club is to serve the children of LaGrange and Troup County ”one child and one community at a time.” (Submitted photo)
