LAGRANGE – It’s softball time.

A new high-school softball season is getting under way this week, and on Saturday, Callaway, LaGrange and Troup will share the field.

LaGrange will serve as the host team for the Relay for Life games, with money raised during the day going to that organization.

The three teams will play each other in a round-robin series of games.

Callaway, LaGrange and Troup will each begin official preseason practice today, although all three teams have been holding workouts throughout the summer.

While LaGrange and Troup will play their season openers on Saturday, Callaway will kick things off on Friday with a home game against Early County.

Callaway also had a preseason game against Norcross on Wednesday.

Here is a schedule of Saturday’s games that will be played at Granger Park:

10 a.m. – LaGrange vs. Callaway

Noon – Troup vs. Callaway

2 p.m. – LaGrange vs. Troup
