It only costs a penny to be nice

“The human spirit is nurtured by praise, as much as a seedling is nurtured by the soil, the water and the sun.” -Mario  Fernandez

This morning as I was leaving the gym, Terrie was at the door in a pretty green dress.

I said to her, “Your  green with your pretty red hair go great together.”

Terrie said, “You always have something nice to say  and you make people feel wonderful.”

I  told her that it only costs a penny more to be super nice and  she told me that if I run out of pennies to come by so she can give me some pennies.

Every day we should look for that positive comment as we go through life for everyone we come in contact with.

Even on Facebook, when someone goes to the trouble of showing and sharing their pictures and they give you a great feeling, stop and let them know.

My friend, Teresa Houze, puts beautiful pictures on Facebook. I look at every one and make a comment. My suggestion to you today, for seven days, try all day long look for what someone has done and let them know it.

You will never know how much you may have helped someone through a tough time in their life.

What about trying it on a problem child. Perhaps you will get his or her attention in a different way. Find something your spouse does well and let them know.

Maybe a little note and say, “Thank you. Job well done.”

Make it easy for that person to do something good one more time. Please take it to your workplace. You may have a much better week than you had  hoped for!
