Robert Hoyt Stogner Jr., of LaGrange, passed away on Aug. 16, 2017.

He was born to the late Robert Hoyt Stogner Sr. and Alice Bowen Stogner. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by sister, Betty Stogner Knight Gaddy and his granddaughter, Danielle Stogner Cline.

He served his country in the United States Army and retired from General Motors.  He was an active member of the Active Life Center in LaGrange, was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion, a member of the VFW,  and will be remembered by the fact that he was always willing to do something for everyone.

​He is survived by his wife, Margaret Stogner; his sons, Sammy Stogner (Margie) and Danny Stogner (Carol); his daughter, Belinda Barintine (Ricky); his sisters, Jessie Mae Williamson (Hubert) and Marcelle Stallings (Clifford); his brothers, Mose Stogner (Diane) and James Stogner (Janice); six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

​The family will receive friends at Higgins LaGrange Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017.

A funeral service will be held at Higgins LaGrange Chapel on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. The Revs. Tony Stallings and Dan Wooten will officiate the service.   Higgins LaGrange Chapel, 706-884-7117
