Future is now in LaGrange

Over the last few weeks, there have been great signs of progress in LaGrange and Troup County. Both Great Wolf Lodge and Duracell have held topping ceremonies, the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel has announced a tentative opening date of late December and Dunham’s Sports officially opened its doors.
That’d be quite a year for most cities with a population of 30,000 people, but that’s all happened in the last month or so here in LaGrange.
It’s human nature to want things to happen immediately. When we hear that a new store is coming to LaGrange, we often lament that it isn’t happening right then. For example, we’ve gotten more questions about Hobby Lobby opening than probably anything else.
For now, we should just be happy about everything that’s going on. The hotel will be open soon, giving tourists an opportunity to stay in downtown when they pass through LaGrange.
Duracell has been in the midst of expanding its operations in LaGrange and Great Wolf construction appears to be right on schedule.
Dunham’s has been packed every time a member of the staff has driven by.
That’s a great sign.
There’s always lot of talk about the future, but the future is clearly right now in LaGrange.
