John Carl Knowles, 38, of Greenville, died Friday, September 15, 2017, in Atlanta. A private memorial service will be held a later date.

John was born December 18, 1978, in LaGrange, the son of the Rev. Carl E. Knowles and Frances Bradley Knowles. He had worked for a number of companies as a truck driver including Swift Transport. John was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center in Greenville. He was a talented musician and could play many instruments including piano, guitar, banjo and many different wind instruments. He also had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding his.

John was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Carl Knowles. Survivors include his mother, Frances B. Knowles of Greenville; two sisters, Lesia (Joe) Ansaldo of LaGrange, Christie (Andy) Milam of Warm Springs; three nephews, one niece and one great niece.
