The team members of Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, Inc. (KMMG) are working hard to help those in need following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma with a variety of activities at the plant. Adding to the team members’ initiatives, KMMG has contributed $100,000 to the American Red Cross’ hurricane relief efforts in Georgia.

“I am grateful to the team members at KMMG for their generous spirit and their acts of kindness as we work to restore our communities following Irma’s devastating effects,” said Gov. Nathan Deal. “And KMMG’s contribution to the American Red Cross is another signal of the way in which Kia Motors is here for Georgia.”

Some of the team member led activities have included the delivery of supplies to hurricane victims in Texas, contributions through KMMG’s matching gift program and an upcoming dunking booth that will allow team members to raise funds for hurricane relief by dunking KMMG managers and executives.

“Supporting our community is at the very heart of our Kia Way mindset,” said Stuart C. Countess, KMMG’s chief administrative officer. “We are so proud to see our team members rally behind people impacted by these recent hurricanes.”
