LaGrange falls to Cedartown

CEDARTOWN – The LaGrange Grangers lost to the home-standing Cedartown Bulldogs 38-10 on Friday night.
The Grangers (0-6 overall) fell to 0-2 in Region 5-AAAA.
LaGrange scored all of its points in the first half.
In the second quarter, the Grangers went 71 yards in 11 plays, and Cornell Kendrick scored on a 3-yard run, and Matt Rainey made the extra point.
After a Laquincy Shepherd interception, Rainey made a 37-yard field goal.
Cedartown led 35-10 at the half, and it made a field goal in the second half to complete the scoring
LAFAYETTE CHRISTIAN: A furious fourth-quarter rally by Lafayette Christian fell short in a 38-34 loss to Central Christian.
Quarterback Landon Whitley ran for two touchdowns and had a scoring pass, and Amani Jenkins ran for 80 yards and scored a touchdown on the ground.
The Cougars trailed 24-6 at the start of the fourth quarter and had the ball at the end trailing by four, but they were unable to drive for the go-ahead score.
