On Monday, Troup County announced that the portion of South Davis Road between Hamilton Road and Whitesville Road will be open to traffic while construction continues.

The work on South Davis is being completed as part of the road work for Tom Hall Parkway. The construction work on Tom Hall Parkway, also known as the Pegasus Parkway Extension, is not yet complete, but temporary striping and work zone signs have been put in place so that motorists can use the South Davis Road section again.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the work zone and remain alert to road conditions.

The road work on the section of South Davis Road began in May. County Engineer James Emery was in the field at the time of this report and could not be reached for comment.
