We create our own luck in this life

What does your mind tell you every day? Do you think you’re lucky?
Friends, you can call it luck, karma or blessed, but what you feed your mind each and every day will determine how you go through this thing called life.
I have people tell me, “Jerry, you’re just one lucky dude.” I believe I am lucky and I believe that has a lot to do with good luck.
Now, the other part of that is I swing the bat to hit a home run. Sometimes, it is just a double, but I will take that every time. You also make your own luck.
Ten years ago my doctor told me I would take an insulin shot every 4 hours. Folks, I do not do that, but I walk more than 70,000 steps each week and go to the gym to work out like I am 16 years old. That is part of the story of being lucky, not taking those shots.
We all have choices each and every day. Part of that is making your own luck by doing things other people are not willing to do.
Now I do love anything with chocolate in it, but that is an every other week treat. You make your own luck by doing the right things every day. Friends, I could eat an entire chocolate tree if given a little time, but my blood sugar will hit the ceiling the next day.
One person on Facebook that I love is a guy named Tim. He has given up sugar and lost about 75 lbs. He is lucky because he found out before it was too late that sugar was keeping him very heavy and he decided to do something about it and he looks 20 years younger now. I call that being blessed because he found out it was up to him and no one else.
My doctor told me the other day because of ads on TV, half his patients come in with a name of a magic drug written down that will make them skinny, sexy and they have to do no work. He says he shares with them that they need to get out and walk, eat better and as a result they will get much better faster.
If you want to be lucky, start planning to be lucky by taking action and you will be lucky!
