Lema Mae Flournoy

Mrs. Lema Mae Flournoy, age 95, of LaGrange, passed away on Oct. 11, 2017, at the WellStar West Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Flournoy was born on Aug. 28, 1922, in Randolph County, Alabama to the late John Thomas Smith and Martha Lisha Whitley.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Flournoy. After her retirement from West Point Pepperell, Mrs. Flournoy worked at the Happy Stop Deli on New Franklin Road for over 15 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Embry; grandchildren, Belinda Faught (Jr.), Deborah Bryan (Mike); great grandchildren, Jennifer Weatherford (Josh), Michael Bryan, Jamie Bryan; great-great grandchildren, Carter, Caity, and Caleb Weatherford; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel on Friday Oct. 13, 2017, from 2 to 3 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Brad Thomas officiating.
