Everyone is special, so don’t compare people

I was raised on a farm where we had a lot of good bird dogs and a lot of good horses that I trained.
One thing I learned is that every dog came into his or her own when they were ready. Some horses were easy to train and some took lots of extra time and a lot of wet saddle blankets to become a good horse.
You say, “Jerry, are you going to make a point about anything?” Yes, I am.
Remember, just like dogs and horse, people are different also. Please do not compare one brother or sister to another. I see people compare one person to another person all the time. Comparison is a distraction to their progress.
Everyone is different and everyone has a time to shine and do their best. People have different talents.
What is really easy for one person may be almost impossible for another person. No matter how much I try, I will never dunk a basketball unless you lower the net 3 feet.
I am built like a cement block and that is a fact of life.
Each person has different things they are good at and some things they are not very good at, but that does not make one person better than the other.
In life, find the things that come easy and get very good at them.
Then you can be a stand out yourself. Do not waste your time and energy. You do not have to prove anything because you are special. You just need to understand we all are special, just in different ways.
